Sheikh Al-Khanjar participates in the State Administration Coalition meeting to discuss the latest developments in the Iraqi and regional arenas
The president of Al-Seyada Alliance, Sheikh Khamis Al-Khanjar, participated in the State Administration Coalition meeting held in Baghdad, alongside the leaders of the Iraqi national blocs and forces, to discuss the most prominent developments in the local and regional arenas.
During the meeting, Sheikh Al-Khanjar stressed the need to spare Iraq from entering into escalating regional conflicts, with the importance of preserving the country's sovereignty and the unity of the internal front and its cohesion in the face of external challenges as a guarantor of the stability and security of Iraq and its citizens.
Sheikh Al-Khanjar called during the meeting to implement the provisions of the political agreement paper, foremost of which is the vote to amend the general amnesty law, turning the page on displacement and returning displaced Iraqis to their areas of origin, achieving balance within the various international institutions, in addition to dissolving the Accountability and Justice Commission and turning it into a file in the hands of the judiciary, and ending the file of compensation for victims of terrorism and military operations.
Sheikh Al-Khanjar reminded the leaders of the blocs and political forces in the coalition that the achievement of the terms of the political agreement paper does not amount to what was agreed upon and signed before the form of the current government.
The participants also discussed, in the presence of the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, in his first participation in the coalition meetings, the pending legislation, most notably the draft amendment to the general amnesty law, personal status, and the recovery of real estate; and the importance of ending the disputes regarding them, and agreeing on fair final formulas that turn the page on the problems that harmed the public interest; and that the House of Representatives continue its legislative role in approving the laws that suspended during the period of the vacancy of the position of the Speaker of Parliament.
