Sheikh Khames Farhan Ali Al-Khanjar Al-Essawi, the head of Al-Seyada Party, was born in Fallujah city in the Anbar province of Iraq in 1965. He received his university education in the fields of media and political science. He grew up in a conservative family and it is part of the tribal sheikhdom of the Buaisa tribe. After completing his secondary education in Fallujah, he moved to Baghdad at the age of twenty where he began his professional career as a businessman and started to manage his family's companies. Sheikh Khames Al-Khanjar founded charitable, educational, and political institutions including the Khanjar Foundation for Scientific Development and the Center for Strategic Studies. Regarding the political context, he established a political alliance in 2010 that achieved significant success in elections. However, he chose to stay away from government positions. He made multiple contributions to Arab and international journalism and maintains an active presence on social media.
