President of AL-Seyada, Sheikh Khames Al-Khanjar stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts between Iraq and Turkey during a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fedan.

During a visit to the Turkish capital, Ankara, by Sheikh al-Khanjar, a number of officials met primarily with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the meeting, Sheikh Al-Khanjar stressed the significance of sustaining diplomatic efforts between the two countries to reach understandings in various fields. 

He also conveyed the Government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia ‘a Al-Sudan’s desire to implement all previous understandings reached.

For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Vidan expressed his country’s concern for the security, sovereignty and unity of Iraq and welcomed Iraq’s efforts to strengthen the relationship between the two neighboring countries.
