The Leadership Alliance ( Al-Seyada and Taqaddom ) held a meeting on Tuesday evening, in the presence of Sheikh Khames Al-Khanjar and Mohammed Al-Halbousi, along with the leaders and deputies of the Alliance, to discuss the status quo and current political developments

Participants stressed the continued support of the Iraqi Government for the implementation of its programme and political spending paper, stressing the importance of meeting popular demands and national entitlements, stressing the need to maintain security and stability in the country, and calling for the avoidance of any escalation affecting these aspects.

In confirmation of the Sunni majority’s representation of the number of deputies, they granted Sheikh Al-Khanjar and Halbousi to nominate candidates for the first position in the Sunni political benefit, in accordance with electoral procedures, emphasizing that this mandate is made with broad national acceptance.
