The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of the Salah Al-Din Provincial Council, Mr. Ali Al-Karim, and a group of Sheikhs and dignitaries of the governorate, included discussing various public issues and developments in the political arena, in addition to discussing ways and process to intensify efforts to serve the people of Salah Al-Din.

In his speech, Sheikh Al-Khanjar stressed his keenness on the stability and security of Salah Al-Din and the rest of the governorates of Iraq and making efforts to cooperate and integrate with the federal and local government agencies to achieve the desired development in the governorate and at all levels.

The president of Al-Seyada Alliance said in a tweet via the “X” platform: “We remind you of the tens of thousands of displaced Iraqi women in difficult humanitarian and living conditions, inside displacement camps, and they are waiting for justice to achieved by returning to their original regions and cities” stressing Al-Seyada Alliance’s firm position on the right of return for all displaced persons to their cities, calling on political forces to assume their responsibilities to end the suffering of the displaced in the camps and work hard to achieve this. 

Sheikh Al-Khanjar also paid tribute to the Palestinian woman in Gaza, saying: “We must not forget to remember, salute and honor the Palestinian woman in Gaza, the proud woman, as she bravely and competently confronts the Zionist aggression machine, such women should give birth to a great generation of men” he called on everyone to work hard to lift the injustice against women, whether in the displacement camps in Iraq or the arenas of steadfastness in Palestine, stressing that women remain a symbol of steadfastness and hope for a better future.

The two-day forum, in cooperation with Harvard and Cambridge universities and several reputable research and scientific institutions, witnessed the participation of about 124 academics from 40 countries.

On the sidelines of the forum, Sheikh Al-Khanjar met with several government officials and leaders of political blocs, stressing the need to keep the Iraqi arena away from regional conflicts and preserve the country’s sovereignty, strengthening the internal front and social cohesion among the people of one Iraq, and protecting it from the repercussions of any security developments that the region may witness.

The president of Al-Seyada Alliance described the court’s decision as a victory for the values ​​of justice, law, and human rights, a step towards ending the impunity that international criminals have long planned, stressing that the use of starvation as a weapon by the government of the usurping entity against civilians, the killing of women and children, and the demolition of hospitals, schools and places of worship, constitute serious violations that require accountability for their perpetrators.

Sheikh Al-Khanjar called on all signatories to the Rome Statute to cooperate fully to arrest those involved in these crimes and bring them to international justice, stressing that this step represents a basis for ending the war and establishing peace in the region.

The meeting, in the presence of several notables of the province, dealt with the role of tribes in maintaining civil peace and strengthening community ties, as Sheikh Al-Khanjar stressed the need for tribal cohesion to the internal front and its cohesion in the face of internal and external challenges, to contribute to achieving the national interest in Kirkuk and all cities of Iraq, renewing his commitment to demand the adoption of a general amnesty to redress innocent detainees, end the tragedy of displacement, build stricken cities and release compensation to those who deserve them.

The presence thanked the president of the Alliance for his principled steadfastness in defending the rights of the component, his refusal to accept exclusion and marginalization, his efforts to achieve balance in state institutions in various sectors, and his true partnership in making and taking national decisions in many fields.

The meeting stressed the need to adhere to the principle of peaceful coexistence among all the original components in the governorate and the importance of preventing exclusion and marginalization in decision-making circles in the local government of Kirkuk, also included an emphasis on the need for concerted efforts to preserve the security and stability gains achieved in the province. 

Sheikh Al-Khanjar praised the role of the Turkmen brothers in preserving the unity and cohesion of the social fabric of the governorate through their well-known national positions, calling on the parties participating in the provincial council to move towards managing and rebuilding Kirkuk and serving its people with all their components.

Turan appreciated Sheikh al-Khanjar’s national stances and his moves, aimed at strengthening the home front by closing ranks and unity of speech among all components and prioritizing the public interest over partisan and factional interests.

During the meeting, attended by several Sheikhs and dignitaries of Salahuddin Governorate, discussed the role of tribal Sheikhs, dignitaries, and elites in the cohesion of the internal national front and its support in the face of the internal and external challenges facing Iraq and its people, Sheikh Al-Khanjar stressed that the Iraqi tribes are the basic building block for achieving the principles of societal unity and that the cohesion of the tribes and their meeting on one word is the main guarantor of the unity of Iraq.

Sheikh Al-Khanjar also stressed his adherence to the approach of demanding legitimate rights, represented in redressing the innocent by approving the general amnesty law and returning all displaced persons to their cities, achieving balance in state institutions, ending the accountability and justice file and its political exploitation, and turning it into a judicial file managed by the official judicial institution.

Sheikh Al-Khanjar, during the opening, attended by several dignitaries of Kirkuk Governorate and leaders and cadres of  Al-Seyada, stressed the importance of the offices of the people’s representatives in the local and federal governments to listen to the demands of the people, following up on them and work to implement them, and that the position be a tool to meet the aspirations of citizens and restore confidence in their representatives in the legislative authorities in Baghdad and the governorates, and to convey their voices and suffering to the concerned authorities and find appropriate solutions to their problems related to the service and living reality.

Al-Mufarji praised the role of Sheikh Al-Khanjar and his efforts in opening her office, which will be an office for Al-Seyada Alliance and its representatives, stressing his constant interest in everything related to the citizens and a note of her commitment and duties towards the masses of the Arabs of Kirkuk and their fateful issues.

Sheikh Al-Khanjar, in the presence of the Deputy Secretary-General of Al-Seyada, Sheikh Abdul Khaliq Al-Azzawi, and the leader of the party, Mr. Khaled Al-Mufarji, and a group of Sheikhs, dignitaries, and youth of Kirkuk, discussed with the attendees the conditions of the governorate, the conditions of its residents and the general local political issue, especially about the management of the governorate and its security and service situation.

For his part, Sheikh Raad Al-Asi Al-Obaidi appreciated Sheikh Al-Khanjar’s role in bringing together the viewpoints of the political and social components in Kirkuk and his principled commitment towards the Arab component in obtaining its entitlement to political and governmental representation, in addition to achieving balance in the official local and federal institutions alike.
